About Us
inhomerespitecare.com.au is an independent service that connects NDIS participants, families, carers and support coordinators with registered NDIS providers who deliver respite in the person's home. It's free to use, and we're not a provider or part of the NDIS.
Why We Started
Finding a provider who can send a worker to your home, at the times you need, often means ringing provider after provider while you're already stretched. We do that part. You tell us what would help once, and we pass it to a registered provider who can staff it.
We also write plain-English guides to how respite works on the NDIS, from funding to overnight shifts and prices. Every guide is checked against the NDIA's own guidelines and pricing schedule, and links to them.
Who We Are
inhomerespitecare.com.au is run by a small team with a background in digital services and in working with NDIS providers.
How We're Paid
Providers pay us for introductions. That's what keeps the service free for you. It doesn't change what you pay: providers' prices are capped by the NDIS for NDIA-managed and plan-managed funding. More on how it works.
What We Cover
Respite in the person's own home for people with disability on the NDIS. We don't cover aged care respite, which is arranged through My Aged Care, or emergency respite, which Carer Gateway can help with on 1800 422 737.
